About Us

The Near Southeast/Southwest Community Benefits Coordinating Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created in 2009 as the result of community dialogue, retreats and careful planning centered around building and bridging the diverse culture of Near Southeast and Southwest.

Comprised of a distinguished board of leaders from the community, CBCC advocates for the needs of the constituents living in the Advisory Neighborhood Commission 6D area.

Our Mission

The mission of the Near SE/SW Community Benefits Coordinating Council is to pursue opportunities and mobilize stakeholders to:
  • strengthen schools and establish greater community enrichment;
  • foster development of local workforce and businesses; and
  • maximize diverse and affordable housing options;
in order to ensure that ANC 6D redevelopment sustains neighborhood diversity and improves the quality of life of all residents.
